Chloe Parsons

(Ba Hons Ballet Education / RAD RTS)

Principal - Ballet & Street Jazz

I began dancing at the early age of 3 years old at The Ranger School of Dance in Swanage. I studied in many discplines of dance, including classical Ballet up to Advanced 2 level (R.A.D). I gained a lot of experience at this school, from shows and performing experiences to choreography and teaching experiences at a young age.

Gaining all this experience allowed me to go on and train professionally as a Dance Teacher at The Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D) in London, gaining my degree; BA (Hons) in Ballet Education.

I have been teaching dance since 2005, starting in London working for many different dance and ballet schools. I then moved back to Dorset and started working full time in local dance and ballet schools aswell as private educational and boarding schools in the area.

I came to a point in my life where I would like to open a school in Wareham, to be able to give young children and adults, the chance to enjoy and learn dance in their local area. I feel that everyone has the ability to learn dance no matter what their age and I am happy to be able to bring this to Wareham and the surrounding areas.

Opening the school in 2013 was the best decision of my life! I have loved every minuet of it, watching the school grow from scratch has been amazing. Each year we get bigger and better, with an amazing team behind me there is no stopping us!

Erin Waller

Contempory / Technique / Musical Theatre

I started ballet at age 3. I also started Musical Theatre classes from around age 7.

I trained at the Laird Academy of Dance and Drama in Surrey, and I trained in RAD from Pre-Primary to Intermediate.

I was accepted onto the Laine Theatre Arts Foundation Course and was accepted into approx 10 different Diploma courses the next year. I stayed on at Laine to gain a Level 6 Diploma in Musical Theatre, with Singing as my Major, and Contemporary Dance as my Minor, graduating in 2021.

In my first year I sustained a knee injury which prohibited my dancing, therefore my focus turned to singing and acting which is where my passion grew and discovered my vocal abilities. I was also training during Covid19, which made it difficult to keep up with the dance training in my bedroom! I did all of my classes, and even agent showcases and auditions, over Zoom.

I have met and sung for the likes of Jim Arnold, David Grindrod and Lucy Moss.

After I graduated I got myself a job as a podium dancer at Cyberdog, Camden, which got me a small feature in the Disney+ documentary “Camden”, and I am currently a swing on the Polar Express Experience at Swanage Railway

Lily Ward

Tap / Junior Musical Theatre

"

“Hi I’m Lily and I teach Tap and Junior Musical Theatre at Splitz!

I have been dancing at Splitz for many years and absolutely love it here. I attend Street Jazz, Musical Theatre, and Tap, and I’ve developed a real passion for performing. I love working with children and feel so lucky to be part of such a supportive and fun environment.

I’m currently studying for my acting degree while also beginning my teacher training with SPLITZ, working towards qualifications in our brand-new syllabus, I-PATH. I’m so excited to take this next step and continue growing as both a performer and a teacher."

Lily has such a natural way with children and is a huge asset to the Splitz Team. We’re incredibly proud of how far she’s come and thrilled to have her moving into this new role as a teacher. Her energy, creativity, and kindness make her a joy to have in the studio, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for her.

Betsy Curtis

Splitz Assistant

"Hi I'm Betsy and I am the assistant for the younger Ballet and Acro classes.

I have been going to Splitz since I was 9 years old and just started out by doing Level 3 Acro, but after my first show with Splitz I was inspired to join Jazz after seeing the incredible dancers on the stage. I have now recently started studying ballet too and I am loving it!

Assisting at Splitz is an amazing opportunity and going to the studio is the highlight of my day."

Betsy started later in her life at Splitz coming from a very strong Gymnastic background, which meant she took to Acro very well and has continued to become one of our strongest Acro students today.

In the last few years Betsy has decided to study different dance styles, she has worked so so hard and I always catch her practicing in her spare time.

Betsy is such a lovely girl and hard working, she is a brilliant assistant and I cannot wait to watch her grow, she is such a great role model for all the younger students to look up to.

BLAKE REDRUP

Blake Redrup

Splitz Assistant

"Hi my name is Blake, I have been dancing at Splitz Studio since 2020, doing jazz, acrobatic arts and Musical Theatre and ballet.

I help assist the younger jazz and acro classes with Miss Chloe and Miss Bec.

I have made so many great friends from the studio and it has motivated me to want to pursue a career in musical theatre as I love it so much!"

Blake was a late starter to the world of dance and he is such a good example to anyone who would love to start at a later stage. He works so hard and has found what he loves to do.

He arrived not knowing anyone in the area or any knowledge of dance, but he got on with it and now he is such a valued member of our school. He brings so much great energy and it is amazing to see how much he has grown in the short time he has been with us.

Keep it up Blake and you will be a force to be reckoned with!

Skye Cox

Splitz Assistant

"Hi I’m Skye and I assist in Ballet, Acro and Jazz classes.

I have been at Splitz since I was in year 5. When I started here, I only did Acro classes once a week, yet have slowly joined more classes. As of now I attend Ballet, Acro, Jazz, Contemporary and Technique and am at the studio every day!

Splitz has become like a family to me over the years. I have made many great friends and have met so many lovely people, many of whom I look up to greatly and aspire to be like.

Assisting at the studio is so much fun and a great opportunity! Going to Splitz is always the highlight of my day!"

Skye has been a part of Splitz Studio since she was just 9 years old, and it’s been a joy to watch her grow into the talented and dedicated teaching assistant she is today. Now taking multiple styles of dance classes, Skye brings passion, energy, and a strong work ethic to everything she does. She has a natural ability with young children, always patient, encouraging, and full of warmth—making her a brilliant support in our younger classes. Over the years, her confidence has flourished, and her commitment to the studio is truly inspiring. We’re so proud to have her as part of the Splitz family.

Pippa Talbot

Splitz Assistant

"I have been at splitz for as long as I can remember and I do six classes a week. I have also recently become an assistant which I love doing . My favourite class I probably ballet because I have been doing it since I was 2 and I have also been accepted into the London ballet company associates programme. I'm very excited to continue my splitz journey"

We are so proud to introduce one of our long-standing students, who is now stepping into the role of assistant here at Splitz Studio. She has been with us since the very beginning, growing up within our studio walls and becoming not only a beautiful dancer but also a wonderful role model for the younger students.

From the very start, she has shown dedication, reliability, and a love for dance that has only grown stronger over the years. Her commitment has shone through in every class and performance, and she has always been someone we can count on both in and out of the studio.

We are incredibly proud of all she has achieved so far and are delighted to have her now supporting us as an assistant. She is a true example of the Splitz spirit, and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for her.

Alice Slemon

Splitz Assistant

"I have been at Splitz now for a year and half and I have had so much fun since I’ve joined, I have recently become a tap assistant which I have been very excited for! My favourite style of dance would definitely be musical theatre because of the atmosphere and the acting! So far my Splitz journey had been amazing and I look forward for more opportunities!"

Alice is one of our newer faces at Splitz, but she has already grown into a confident and enthusiastic dancer. She has discovered a new love for tap and her energy shines through in every class. Kerry Adams

Live for Pilates

Kerry went to her first Pilates class in 2007 and with regular practice she soon noticed a massive improvement in posture and energy levels. She delved in to Pilates further and qualified as a Pilates Matwork Teacher with the Pilates Foundation.

The Pilates method provides an all over body workout incorporating the six unique principles; Alignment, Centre (core), Breathing, Focus, Control and Flow. Using precise and controlled movements the method works towards restoring physical and mental balance. With regular practice Pilates can improve posture, reduce muscle tension and daily stresses placed on the spine and joints

Kerry went to an amazing Yoga class with the inspirational Hayley Gumery a few years ago and hasn’t looked back since. In the same year, Kerry went on to complete the British Wheel of Yoga Foundation course with Hayley. This left her even more fascinated with Yoga and she is now a very proudly qualified Level 4 British Wheel of Yoga Teacher.

Yoga means to unite, bring together, to connect by means of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines which originated in ancient India.

Kerry's Yoga classes will take you through a series of poses, or Asana, which are often modified to encourage students to find the perfect balance of being strong, steady, and stable whilst remaining comfortable, happy, and relaxed within each physical pose.

Bring a blanket or some extra layers for relaxation at the end!
